ROMAIN DUMAS TO DRIVE FOR PESCAROLO
SPORT AT LE MANS
27
March 2007
As
previously announced as part of his 2007 programme, Romain Dumas has confirmed
that he will take part in the Le Mans 24 Hours behind the wheel of a LMP1 prototype
this year, as part of the driver line-up for Pescarolo Sport. He had his first
experience of the car at the LMS Test Day on 25/26 March. During the two days
of testing, Romain was able to get to know the car and the team. In addition
to the classic French endurance race in June, Romain will also be driving alongside
J.C.Bouillon in the No.16 Pescarolo for the 1000 Kms of Valence, a round of
the Le Mans Series.
A new team, a new car, and new colours, … to mark his drive in the two European events, Romain will use a helmet with the same design but with a slightly different colour scheme - the grey areas will be replaced by chrome.
But before all this, Romain will return to the
USA to attempt to win the American Le Mans Series title. The next round will
be held at St Petersburg in Florida, at a circuit where Romain has never raced
before. Then two weeks later, the ALMS will be at Long Beach, another track
which was not on last year’s calendar.
