The schedule of Romain Dumas

2007, January 17th - After Daytona Romain will come back in Europe to take part in a training session with his Porsche’s team mates. A test and training session to be or to get back in good shape in order to attack the season in the best way. That would take place like the past years. First, an individual test to asssess the fit level of each driver. Then the drivers will complete a strictness and intensive training. Lactate level and “VO2 max” will be analysed. These analysis allow to know the physical condition level of each driver and to adapt a personal training for the coming year. This year the training session is standing in Cyprus from Feb-10 to 20.

The ’07 schedule of Romain will continue with the five first races of the ALMS championship. First, March 17th, the 12 Hours of Sebring will be the real starting point of the season. Just afterwards, he’ll come back in Europe to take part in the pre-season tests of the European Le Mans Series championship. These tests will proceed on the Paul Ricard track (Mar-25,26). The Frenchman will set out again in the USA very quickly to continue the ALMS championship with two races which didn’t take part of the schedule in the past years : St Petersbourg (Mar-31) and Long Beach (Apr-15).Then will follow the Houston (Apr-21) and Salt Lake City (May-19) events.

June is usually saved for the 24H du Mans. Romain will take part in this event in the LMP1 class. The name of his team and team mates would be known soon.

In July, Romain will go back to the USA to continue the races of the second part of the ALMS season. Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio, Road America and Mosport, before Detroit, the third new track of the championship. Like last year, the championship will end in Petit le Mans then Laguna Seca.

That is the schedule of Romain, in which a second event in Europe in the Le Mans Series championship could be added depending on circumstance.
